One of the principles of STS is minimal critical specification.[53] This principle states that, unless absolutely essential, there should be minimal specification of objectives and how to do tasks in order to avoid closing options or inhibiting effective actions. Telecommuting provides teleworkers with the freedom to decide how and when to do their tasks.[35] Similarly, teleworkers have the responsibility to use their equipment and resources to carry out their responsibilities. This increase in responsibility for their work also increases their power,[53] supporting the idea that teleworking is a privilege and in some companies, considered a promotion.[46]
What’s great about these part-time home-based jobs is the fact you can count on a certain amount of extra income each month — there’s no wondering if there will be any work available or guessing as to how much you might make by the end of the month. But part-time employee positions may also require you to have a proper home office setup that includes a landline, headset, and a quiet spot where you can do work — not always possible when you’re working in a busy household.

Nice list. I would not recommend working for Transcribe Team. The work available with them is very sporadic. They say that they pay up to $0.65 per audio minute. I never made more than $0.50 an audio minute when I worked for them. They blocked me from logging into their site without even sending an email to let me know why. They did allow me to login again once I contacted them. I’ve read in different forums though from transcribers who were blocked from Transcribe Team from logging into the worker interface without giving a reason why.
If you have as little as four hours to spare in a week, you can become a virtual assistant for Time Etc. Assignments vary from social media management to writing for clients — you can choose the option that makes the best use of your skills. Don’t worry, if you’re a jack or jill-of-all-trades you can become a general assistant and help people get more done.

Companies these days are expanding their office boundaries to incorporate the idea of working from home. These work from home companies offer employees flexible working hours, better pay and freedom from office walls. Even though the internet is flooded with many online jobs, there are some that offer better pay. I am available to work at least 15 hours a week doing typing reports or whatever fits my abilities. In the past I have done many assorted jobs and spent 15 years in the Interior design field. I have worked outside in offices many years and am good on the telephone and keyboard on my tablet and if need be can get a computer if necessary. My experience in the working field covers an assortment of jobs. I am a retired senior lady.

I wanted to point out, though, that it looks like at least some of the transcription jobs are listed as paying per audio hour which would work out to a lot less per hour of work. One hour of audio can take 3 to 4 hours for an experienced transcriber to complete, so $24/audio hour=$6-8/hour. Just something for people to be aware of.

Then sign up with as many sites as you can. The sites will contact you when surveys that fit your demographic pop up, and you take them right away. A word to the wise: Do not register anywhere that has a membership fee, asks for your Social Security number or bank information, or is vague about payment. There are many survey services out there that are fraudulent.
